Members of the Buy Local Moscow Steering Committee will serve as ?celebrity servers? at Mix, the martini bar located next to Kinkos in the Eastside Marketplace, for an evening of fun and fundraising, from 6pm to 8pm on Wednesday, February 10, 2010.
Mix will donate a portion of the drink sales and tips from the evening to Buy Local Moscow to further the non-profit group's mission of supporting the town's locally-owned independent businesses.
Buy Local celebrity servers will debut the group's first T-shirt, bearing the slogan, ?love your locals.? T-shirts, and reusable bags with the Buy Local Moscow logo, will also be offered for sale during the event.
More than 100 Moscow businesses have joined Buy Local Moscow since the organization was formed in 2006.
Buy Local Moscow PrizeCard Winners Chosen
Buy Local Moscow's PrizeCard shopping game ended with the selection of the 6 grand prize winners at the third annual Buy Local Winterfest on December 10, 2009. Each grand prize winner received gifts from Buy Local Moscow member businesses worth at least $300.
The grand prize winners included: Sara Cucksey of Moscow, Marcia Gossard of Pullman, Mary Pomes of Moscow, Jeanne Robertson of Moscow, Eric Werner of Onaway, and Jean Campbell of Moscow.
In addition, Walt Spurling, owner of Buy Local member business Spurling House and Garden, won the raffle for a new H-P printer donated by Terry Morin, owner of Buy Local member business Printer Pro.
A total of 121 completed PrizeCards were redeemed and entered into the drawing for the 6 grand prizes.
